On a calm, overcast evening, I had the pleasure of photographing Amanda and Weeden’s engagement shoot. Higgins Beach was the perfect spot to document their silly, goofy personality to showcase how utterly in love they are for each other.

The vibes of the session were as coastal and carefree as you’d imagine—and yes, their adorable pup made it even better! (Y’all know I am down for any pup crashing a shoot)!

Located along the Southern Maine coastline, Higgins Beach is a favorite for its quiet charm and natural beauty. • Parking: Paid parking is available nearby, so plan to arrive early during peak times! P.S. There is a parking lot just a short walk away, but it fills up quickly! 
• Year-Round Access: Open year-round, offering unique vibes for every season.
• Dog-Friendly: Dogs are welcome with seasonal restrictions (off-leash allowed in mornings and evenings during summer; anytime off-season).
• Sunset & Sunrise Views: Perfect for both, depending on your vision for the session!
• No Facilities: Keep in mind there are no restrooms or changing areas, so come prepared! I know, a bummer.. But pretty common along the seacoast! 

Creating Memories with Unscripted Moments at Higgins Beach

We strolled along the shoreline, where gentle waves added a touch of motion to their photos. Amanda and Weeden twirled in the sand, skipped rocks, and even got their feet wet, letting loose and enjoying every moment.  Amanda and Weeden’s playful energy and love for each other made every moment feel effortless and genuine.

The relaxed environment made it easy to capture their true personalities and love story.

And let’s not forget their pup! If you’re a dog lover, this beach is ideal for including your furry best friend. Watching their dog splash in the water and chase seagulls was just the cherry on top of an already perfect session!!
