Isa and Josh decided they wanted to have the best of both worlds and have a super intimate morning together, but then spend the rest of the day with their friends and family! Their biggest requests were to have a fun, simple, and beautiful wedding day that was all about spending time with each other and those that they love. So, after brainstorming the perfect destination in the White Mountains, we decided that Echo Lake and a Cathedral Ledge NH wedding was the perfect spot and way to celebrate their love for each other!

I may be a bit biased when I say this, but anywhere in the White Mountains is a great location to get eloped! Isa and Josh landed on Echo Lake because it has an incredible view of Cathedral Ledge as it overlooks the lake.

Permit: Yes and no – depending on the size of your wedding/elopement. You can get access to a special use permit, here!
Entrance Fee: Yes. $12 for ages 12 and up, $2 for ages 6-11. Seniors 65+ and children 5 and under enter for free!

Cathedral Ledge Vow Exchange: A White Mountain Fall Elopement
It was a gorgeous September day in New Hampshire, surrounded by the serene beauty of the White Mountains, Isa and Josh enjoyed the first light of the day at Cathedral Ledge. They had the whole place to themselves while they took time to read private vows to each other while taking in the views of the White Mountains.
Starting your elopement day with a sunrise hike to read your vows is such an intimate and special choice. It was such a honor to be able to document this moment for Isa and Josh.
Then, we made the trek down the trail and explored Echo Lake with views of Cathedral Ledge.
Isa and Josh even shared a few dances together. It was such an intimate and special morning with just the two of them.
Getting Ready in an Airbnb in the Franconia Notch State Park: An Intimate Cathedral Ledge NH Wedding
After their private moments on Cathedral Ledge, Isa and Josh got ready with their closest friends and family at their Airbnb for a lakeside ceremony. The location in Franconia Notch that they chose was absolutely breathtaking! The excitement was building as we prepared for the big moment by Echo Lake!
The emotions from Isa and Josh’s family are moments I’ll never forget. It’s times like these that remind me why I love intimate elopements so much.

Echo Lake Elopement Ceremony With Family
The sun was shining, the water was sparkling, and everyone was bursting with joy for this special couple. Instead of having a traditional officiant, they actually had one of their best friends marry them. It was incredibly meaningful and you could truly feel the love in the air.

To cap off this wonderful day, Isa and Josh gathered together with their loved ones for an intimate dinner. The atmosphere was cozy and warm, with candles flickering and laughter filling the air. They shared heartfelt toasts and well wishes, and it was clear that they were surrounded by friends and family who truly adored them.
It is such an honor to be a part of such intimate and meaningful weddings like this one. The mountains provided the perfect backdrop for this elopement, adding an extra touch of magic to the whole day. I hope you enjoyed hearing about Isa and Josh’s beautiful wedding as much as I loved being a part of it. It’s moments like these that remind me why I chose to pursue this passion of mine. Love really is a wonderful thing, especially when it’s celebrated in such a heartfelt and timeless way!
