8 Best Wedding Venues in New Hampshire

March 5, 2026

I know I sing the praises of New Hampshire in literally every single blog post I write, but I mean every single word! So, because I am basically New Hampshire’s BIGGEST fan, I thought it would be fun to do a seasonal guide of the 8 best wedding venues in New Hampshire for the couples that maybe have their eyes on a few venues, but haven’t quite figured out which season to host their celebration.

A Seasonal Guide for the Best Wedding Venues in New Hampshire

Truly, New Hampshire is a gem of the east coast when it comes to each season. There really is not a “bad” time to get married in New Hampshire as each season brings its own fun and beauty to the table.

One of the best parts about getting married in New Hampshire is that the same venue can feel completely different depending on the season. The light changes, energy shifts, and even how a day feels moves with the weather and season.

P.S. If you’re still narrowing down the vibe for your NH wedding or elopement, this blog will be helpful, too!

8 Best Wedding Venues In New Hampshire: Season By Season

If you already have a venue (or a short list) and are trying to decide when to get married, this guide breaks down what each of these New Hampshire wedding venues looks like across spring, summer, fall, and winter so you can choose the season that fits you best.

P.S. These NH wedding venues are in no particular order of superiority.

1. Mill Falls At The Lake

Location: Mill Falls is classic Lakes Region New Hampshire. It’s walkable, scenic, and ideal for full-blown wedding weekends where guests can explore, linger, and actually relax.

Spring: Spring at Mill Falls is calm in the best way. The lake starts to thaw, crowds are minimal, and the light is soft and romantic instead of harsh. Late spring is especially beautiful because everything feels slower and quieter. You basically get the town and the lake almost to yourselves.

Summer: Peak Lakes Region energy. Boats on the water during cocktail hour, long days, and sunsets that feel unreal. Summer weddings here feel like a vacation, and couples love that their guests fully lean into it—ice cream runs, dock walks, and staying out late because no one’s in a rush to leave.

Fall: New England fall never disappoints. Crisp air, rich color reflecting on the lake, and fewer tourists than summer (though leaf peepers still bring some buzz). Fall here feels cozy and lively—the best of both worlds.

Winter: Cozy and understated. Winter weddings at Mill Falls are less about lake views and more about candlelight, warm indoor spaces, and that snowy, Hallmark-movie energy.

2. Castle In The Clouds

Location: This venue is all about the views. They’re iconic for a reason, and every season brings a different kind of “holy shit, we’re really getting married here” moment.

Spring: Soft, low clouds roll through the hills creating an effortlessly moody, cinematic feel. Foggy mornings, cooler temps, and minimal crowds make spring weddings here feel dramatic in the best way. This season brings an unmatched sense of privacy.

Summer: The trees, grass, and mountains feel vibrant, almost Ireland-esque, with clear views of Lake Winnipesaukee. Summer days are warm and bright without feeling overwhelming. Truly a stress-free, vacation-esque celebration.

Fall: Iconic. Truly unreal. Every angle looks like a fall painting, and couples consistently say the scenery becomes the décor. This is when Castle in the Clouds absolutely shines—no notes.

Winter: Availability is limited, but if you snag a winter date, the snow-covered mountaintops deliver. This season is perfect for couples who love the quiet, storybook feel and the intentional, intimate energy it creates.

3. Langdon House

Location: A dream venue for couples planning a garden-party-style wedding with a smaller guest list. See more about this area in my Portsmouth, NH Guide.

Spring: The sweet spot. Gardens start to come back to life, temperatures are comfortable, and everything feels fresh and inviting. It  feels like you’re hosting your favorite people at a beautiful home.

Summer: Blooms are stunning, and evening ceremonies are perfect as the heat fades. Summer weddings here feel relaxed and social (very dinner-party-energy).

Fall: Muted tones, cozy vibes, and fewer tourists in Portsmouth. This season is ideal for couples who want charm without distraction.

Winter: Best for very small gatherings or elopements. The indoor spaces shine here, and the energy is quiet and meaningful. You truly get a taste of that slow, small town New England energy during this time of year.

4. Loon Mountain Resort

Location: One of my favorite spots, and even more special for couples who love a little adventure in the mountains.

Spring: A true transition season. Snow still lingers at higher elevations while valleys start to wake up. Couples love the contrast of misty peaks, quiet trails, and a more off-the-beaten-path feel.

Summer: Peak mountain magic. Chairlifts, hiking, cooler temps, and long golden hours. Summer weddings here feel like adult summer camp, and couples love how fun and different the experience feels for guests.

Fall: The temps in the mornings and evenings start to cool down, the leaves are a beautiful mix of yellow, orange, and reds. You truly cannot go wrong no matter which direction you’re looking as the views of the foliage along the mountains are a sight to see.

Winter: Famously known for the slopes and the perfect wedding venue for couples that love snowboarding or skiing. No need to travel to the Rockies when you have snow covered mountains right here in the White Mountains.

5. Omni Mt. Washington/Rosewood Lodge

Location: This venue is one of those venues that feel grand, but not in a stuffy way, in a way that feels like “wow, we have the whole place to ourselves.”

Spring: Snow melts, greens return, and the ceremony deck is surrounded by soft mountain color. The quiet elegance and gentle light during this season is stunning.

Summer: Probably one of the most comfortable summer wedding venues in NH. The ceremony deck is airy and the mountains in the distance make the view feel special. The lawn area is expansive and provides you and your guests so much space to linger throughout the day, especially during the cocktail hour.

Fall: The fall season here feels very New England. The colors are breathtakingly beautiful. This season also provides you and your guests opportunities to get out and explore before or after the wedding celebration.

Winter: Absolutely magical. Fireplaces, lodge vibes, and snowy peaks. Couples consistently say winter here feels cozy, festive, and unforgettable without being overdone.

6. Sunset Hill House

Location: This spot is perfect for couples that want a slower pace without sacrificing epic mountain views.

Spring: The epitome of what you would expect when you dream about fresh mountain air. This time of year feels like a peaceful escape from all of the noise.

Summer: The perfect season for an intimate celebration where your guests can stay on site and truly experience a beautiful NH sunset. It feels like a true retreat.

Fall: Those panoramic White Mountain foliage views are the reason to book fall here. Cozy, colorful, and 100% New England.

Winter: A tucked-away mountain retreat. I love the quiet, snowy intimacy and connection-focused energy this time of year brings.

7. Longlook Farm

Location: A warm and grounded experience year-round.

Spring: A sweet season for a relaxed timeline. Everything about this time of year feels unhurried.

Summer: The outdoor space flows so perfect into the barn reception area.

Fall: The perfect blend of warm tones from the barn mixed with the fall foliage. This is one of the most photogenic seasons.

Winter: Candlelight becomes a design element that creates a moody, inviting space to celebrate with your friends and family. This is the perfect season for a connection-focused wedding.

8. Locke Falls Farm

Location: A peaceful spot that lets the scenery do most of the talking.

Spring: An earthy vibe for couples. This season is all about simplicity.

Summer: Open fields create space for private moments and relaxed portraits. Everything feels natural and unforced.

Fall: Slower pacing, rich foliage, and stillness that feels almost euphoric. This season is deal for intentional celebrations.

Winter: A great wedding venue for couples looking to embrace the winter season with their closest friends and family.

So, as you can see there truly is no “best season” to get married in New Hampshire because all seasons bring their own special qualities to New England. At the end of the day, it comes down to what you want your wedding celebration to feel like.
